Week of April 26th

Hope that you had a great vacation. It is time to get things started again. We have five, five day weeks left and a couple of shorter weeks. In math class, we have started our studies of Chapter 7 and the concepts are heavily dependent on throughly understanding Chapter 6. A new Sunshine Math will be passed out on Monday and is due on Friday. I will pass out a new POW mid-week. Monday will be spent going over section 7.2 in the book and working on a worksheet. Tuesday, I hope that we can present the posters that we worked on before vacation. The balance of the week will be spent working our way through the chapter.
For social studies, we have come to the end of our study of the Revolutionary War and have moved onto learning about how a new government was formed using Chapter 7 in our textbook and other resources. On Monday, please bring your laptops to class and we will be doing research online looking at the people who built this new system of government. Current Event #12 will be due on Thursday and is on something that is unique about spring-time or what you did over vacation. We will continue to take notes on Chapter 7 and finish up our viewing of the Liberty video. Have a good week.

Week of April 11th

What a surprise, another short week of school. No tests or quizzes this week in ss or math. We will be starting Chapter 7 in math class and talking about equations. Your POW #13 is due on Tuesday. In social studies, we are going to finish up the last part of the Liberty video and write a paragraph about our feelings about how the war ended. Thursday is a half-day with no classes and there is no school for students on Friday.
