Mid-week Welcome to Febraury

Well, it is only February 1st and we have had more snow then we had all of February '10. We know that school has been called off for Wednesday, so it is good that you took home your laptops and books. I will collect your POW on Thursday and we will review 5.1 to 5.4. You already know this material and you have been practicing problems from 1 to 32 on page 709. I hope that we can take a quiz on Friday and be done with this section. Your Sunshine Math is due on Friday and I gave you the answer to the cookie problem today as well as explained it. More and more of you seem to be getting onto Young Money and starting to buy your million dollars worth of stocks.
In ss, you have your review questions and map for the quiz on Monday. You have been working on your current event assignment and the topic to write about is the weather. I am planning to show another part of the Liberty video on Thursday and then do some review work on Friday.

Week of January 31st

I went over with the students most of the plan for this week on Wednesday. As everyone knows, there is another possible storm coming in on Wednesday that we will have to work around in our plans. In math class, we will be starting Chapter 5. Your POW #9 that you have been working on is due on Wednesday or the next day that we have school. The
Sunshine Math that you will be getting on Monday is due on Friday.
In social studies, we will be taking notes and finishing up Chapter 4 this week. Watch some more of the Liberty video mid-week and get ready for a test on Chapter 4. I will be passing out a new current event assignment on the weather, which will be due at the end of the week. More details to come. Thanks, Mr. Chidsey
