Week of October 9th

This will be a fast week of school since there is no school on Monday, due to the holiday. Students did a good job on their Scientific Notation poster and now have basic knowledge of how the notation show look. We will be focussing on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using the notations in Lesson 7. POW #3 is due on Wednesday and there will be a quiz over Lessons 6 and7 on Thursday.

We are now mowing into our study of negative exponents and scientific notation. A poster project on scientific notation will give the students a break from the textbook and give them the opportunity to be creative. Our second POW is due on Wednesday and we will be taking another SBR Test that day. It will be in the form of the same ten questions, just with different numbers.
