Week of May 15th

We are getting to the end of Chapter 7, so I want to take the test before the 8th grade trip to Funtown on Friday. Monday, we will be covering the last lesson in the chapter on finding area and perimeter of similar figures. We will be reviewing the chapter on Tuesday and finishing our POW. Wednesday is a half-day with short classes and I will be collecting the POW's. Chapter Test on Thursday. Hopefully, the weather will be wonderful for our field trip on Friday.

Week of May 8th

Lots going on and the schedule is filling up with activities. We will go over the SBR Test and Sunshine Math assignment on Monday, as well as starting in on Lesson 7.5. Star 360 Test on Tuesday. Activity using our 7.5 skills on Wednesday and a new POW will be passed out. 7.6 on Thursday. MEA Essay writing test on Friday and short classes. Then we will be half way through May. Hang on, and keep up to date.

Week of May 1st

Back in the swing of things and it should be a normal five day school week. I will be collecting the Sunshine Math sheets that weren't turned in on Friday and will be passing our a new one due on Friday. We will continue with our studies on Chapter 7, focusing on Lessons 3 and 4. POW #14 is due on Wednesday. SBR Test on Friday.

Week of April 10th

We will be finishing up our Google slide project on Monday. The project is our way of reinforcing our understanding of Chapter 6, which just contains four lessons. Tuesday, there will be a quiz on the basic concepts of the chapter. The first POW of the fourth quarter is due on Wednesday. Our first SBR test will be on Thursday. Friday is Pink Pants Day and we will wrap things up and start Spring vacation.

Week of April 3rd

They have extended the quarter by a week, but we have pretty much finished this up last Friday. We have two days of classes, then a half day with career educational speakers and then two days of classes. We will start in on Chapter 6. The first POW of the fourth quarter will be passed out on Tuesday. Hope that the storm on Tuesday is only rain.

Week of March 27th

This is supposed to be the last week of the quarter, but we will see if they are going to extend it due to all the snow days that we have had this winter. Monday, we will be taking a quiz on 5.5 to 5.7. Tuesday will be spent on corrections and reviewing for the Chapter 5 Test on Wednesday. POW #12 is due on Wednesday. Thursday is a SBR Test and we will wrap things up on Friday, unless the quarter is extended.

Week of March 20th

We have a five day week, but it is MEA testing this week. Testing runs from 8 to 11, Monday through Wednesday, so make sure to be on time and try not to miss school. You will have AA and your four core classes, but the periods will be shorter. Lunch remains at the same time. I will be passing out a new Sunshine Math on Monday and it is due on Friday. The last POW of the quarter will be passed out on Wednesday. Happy testing.
