Week of February 6th

Should be a regular five day week, but there are interruptions to the schedule on Monday and Friday and we shall have to keep an eye on the storm that is coming mid-week. I plan to go over the last lesson in the chapter on Monday and have a review day on Tuesday. It would be great to have the chapter test on Wednesday and then have Thursday to do corrections. Friday is the NAEP Testing that will pull many 8th graders from their regular classes. Stay tuned.

Week January 30th

We should be having a regular five day school week this week. Monday, a new Sunshine Math will be passed out and we will be going over 4.7. Tuesday, should be having the Talent Show in the morning, so those classes will be affected, but the afternoon ones should be normal. Please turn in the POW you have been working on for a week. Wednesday, we will be taking the math placement test for the high school. Thursday will be introducing Lesson 8 and please finish up your SM for homework. SBR Test on Friday and please turn in your Sunshine Math sheet.

Week of January 23rd

Two days of school, then a half-day with the Talent Show, then two more days. We will see what the storm on Tuesday brings us. Start of the second half of the year and the third quarter. Moving into the middle lessons in Chapter 4. Look for a new POW on Tuesday, I will try to post it to Google Classroom. No Sunshine Math this week.

Week of January 17th

Last week of the quarter. No Sunshine Math or POW this week. Review day on Tuesday. Be sure that you know how to graph an equation. Quiz on 4.1 to 4.4 on Wednesday. Friday, we will take our last SBR Test of the quarter. Now you are half way through your 8th grade year.

Week of January 9th

We should be having a five day week of school this week, so I will be passing out a Sunshine Math assignment on Monday, that will be due on Friday. Please do your own work and show your work, where needed. We will be focusing on Lessons 3 and 4 this week. Your POW is due on Tuesday. We will be having another SBR Test on Friday. Please practice the problems you have been finding a challenge, if any.

Week of January 3rd

Welcome back. Hope that it was a good vacation. On Tuesday, we will be going over your Chapter 3 Test and the POW. Next it is into Chapter 4 we go. A new POW, the last one of the quarter, will be passed out on Wednesday. SBR Test on Friday.

Week of December 19th

We have finished the lessons in Chapter 3 and will be reviewing on Monday and taking the chapter test on Tuesday. Your school bus POW is due on Wednesday. Pink Pants Day is on Thursday, when there are several special events taking place. Have a good vacation.
