Week of March 28th

Last week of the quarter and good to have testing over. We will be doing a project using the key concepts from Chapter 6, but will not be tested on the material. Wednesday your POW is due and Thursday we will be taking the last SBR test of the week. If needed, you should have taken the retest on Chapter 5 by now. You will be signing up for your high school classes this week.

Week of March 21st

We have testing Monday through Wednesday with short classes. We will be starting into Chapter 6 and a new POW will be passed out on Wednesday. There are 9 days left in this marking period.

Week of March 14th

This week we will be finishing up Chapter 5 and taking the test on Thursday. Pie Day is always a fun day. Their POW are due on Wednesday and there is no Sunshine Math assignment this week. Next week is testing, so we will be preparing to be taking those on their laptops.

Week of March 7th

Four weeks left in the third quarter and the next three are shortened ones. This week is a four day week with no school on Friday. Monday, we will be going over last week's Sunshine Math and the lessons covering Pythagorean Theorem. Tuesday and Wednesday will be work days on our poster project. Tuesday, first period, the principal and some folks from GHS will be here to talk to the 8th grade class, so that will affect the schedule. A new POW will be passed out on Wednesday. Poster presentations will be on Thursday.

Week of February 29th

Should be a mostly normal week except for Thursday, when we will be seeing the play. Monday there will be a new Sunshine Math sheet passed out and due on Friday. Will be working on 5.4 on Monday and then reviewing the first four lessons on Tuesday ahead of a quiz on Wednesday. The POW that was passed out last week will be due on Wednesday. The rest of the week will be spent continuing our coverage of Chapter 5.

Week of February 22nd

Hope that you enjoyed a restful winter break. Next vacation is in eight weeks and half of those weeks are short ones. Will be passing out the second half of our textbooks on Monday. Look over the lessons in Chapter 5 and we will start making our way through them. A new Sunshine Math sheet will be passed out on Monday and is due on Friday. You must show how you found the answers. Wednesday, will be a SBR test and pass out the next POW, due the following Wednesday.

Week of February 8th

Surprised to have a snow day on Friday. I hope that we don't have another one on Tuesday. We will be finishing up Chapter 4 and taking the test on Tuesday or Wednesday. POW #9 is due on Wednesday. The SBR test has been moved to Thursday. Pink Pants Day on Friday as we wrap up the week and go on vacation.
