Week of May 26th

With Monday being Memorial Day and Thursday is Career Education Day, this is going to be a short week of classes. We will start in on Chapter 8 on Tuesday and do the first couple of lessons. Wednesday, the last POW of the year will be passed out. My plan is to give a SBR test on Friday. June is right around the corner, keep up to date with your assignments.

Week of May 19th

It is testing time this week. Monday and Tuesday in your math classes and the rest of the week in ELA classes. Try not to miss these classes, as it will mean finishing the tests up later and missing more classtime. Wednesday, the POW that you have been working on is due. We will be starting a poster project on any concept from Chapter 8. Thursday will be a work day and presentations on Friday. Looking ahead, there is no school on Monday, due to Memorial Day and then Thursday is Career Ed Day.

Week of May 12th

Well, this ia going to feel like a fast week, with a half-day on Wednesday and our trip to Funtown on Friday. Monday and Tuesday, we will be going over the last two lessons in Chapter 7. A new POW will be passed out on Tuesday. We need to take the chapter test and SBR test on Thursday, as there is NWEA Testing all next week and I don't want to wait that long to wrap up this chapter. Week of May 5th

We are now done with our normal five days weeks, as there are intruptions to the schedule from here on in. Monday, we will be going over the Sunshine Math and quiz that were turned in on Friday. We will then continue with the middle lessons in this chapter. On Wednesday, the POW that you have been working on is due. Don't forget to change the name of the school to something of your choice, give full answers and show your work. Friday, all 8th graders will be taking a science test that will last all morning. After lunch you will have your alied arts class and Period 2. Have a good week.

Week of April 28th

Time to get spring semester started. These last seven weeks are going to go by fast and then it is off to high school. The math teachers say that we are to skip Chapter 6 and move right into 7, so that is what we will be doing. On Monday, we will be looking through the lessons and seeing what looks familiar and what material looks new to us. Use the books website to check out to the pre-test and some tutorials. Sunshine Math sheet will be passed out towards the end of class and is due on Friday, please be sure to show your work. We will be doing Lesson 2 on Wednesday, having a review day on Thursday, followed by a small quiz on Friday, covering the first two lesson. No SBR Test this week. New POW will be passed out mid week. Week of April 14th

Last week of classes before vacation, Pink Pants Day on Friday. Monday, we will be covering the last lesson in Chapter 5. Tuesday will be a review day. Wednesday, POW#13 is due and we will be taking our first SBR test of the quarter. Chapter 5 test on Thursday and we will wrap things up on Friday. No Sunshine Math sheet this week. Try not to miss any school this week, it is going to go by fast.

Week of April 7th

Time to start the 4th quarter, then it is off to high school. We will be reviewing Lessons 1-4 on Monday before taking a quiz on Tuesday. Wednesday, you will be getting a new POW. There will be a Sunshine Math sheet this week, but not one next week. More A squared plus B squared equals C squared all week. Two weeks till vacation!!
