Week of January 28th

Start of a brand new quarter and a short week of classes. Monday, we will do more work on Lesson 6. Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be tackling Lesson 7. Thursday is Pink Pants Day, a half day and the Talent Show. No classes on Friday, but I will be in meetings all day. Stay healthy, wash your hands and get some sleep.

Week of January 21st

With only a four day week to wrap up the second quarter, I am glad that the storm didn't cancel school today. We will be reviewing Lessons 1 through 5 on Tuesday and taking a test on Wednesday. Thursday, there will be our last SBR test of the quarter and Friday we will be sure everyone has completed all their assignments. No POW or Sunshine Math assignments this week. Stay warm.

Week of January 14th

Nine days left in the second quarter. Last POW, due on Wednesday. Last Sunshine Math this week, due on Friday. We will keep working our way through Chapter 3. Quiz on the first two sections on Tuesday. Pink Pants Day on Friday. Stay healthy and try not to miss any school.

Week of January 7th

Fourteen days of school left in this quarter, then we are half way through the year. Two Sunshine Math assignments to go and one will be passed out on Monday, due Friday. Our last POW will be passed out on Wednesday and due the following Wednesday. There will be an SBR test towards the end of the week and also a 30 second multiplication test at some point. I hope that you showed your parents your tessellation's presentation. We will be starting a new chapter (page 176) in our textbook on Monday.

Week of January 2, 2013

Hope that you have had a good vacation. We are going to be doing a project with Mrs. Dawson this week. Wednesday, she will introduce the project, Thursday will be a work day and you will be presenting your finished work on Friday.

Week of December 17th, last one for 2012

The students all know the schedule for this last week of classes before vacation. Monday, I will be giving back their Sunshine Math assignments and doing the final review for the retest of Chapter 2 on Tuesday. Wednesday is turn in day for their POW that they have already started. Thursday, I will be returning all their tests and papers. Look for Progress Reports early in the week. Friday there are no classes due to the music concert in the morning and basketball game in the afternoon. Have a safe and restful break.

Week of December 10th

We will reviewing each of the lessons in Chapter 2 this week. With the exception of Wednesday, which is a half-day with no classes. A new Sunshine Math was passed out on Monday and will be due on Friday. A POW will be passed out on Tuesday, which will be due on the 19th. SBR test on Thursday.
