Week of January 7th

Fourteen days of school left in this quarter, then we are half way through the year. Two Sunshine Math assignments to go and one will be passed out on Monday, due Friday. Our last POW will be passed out on Wednesday and due the following Wednesday. There will be an SBR test towards the end of the week and also a 30 second multiplication test at some point. I hope that you showed your parents your tessellation's presentation. We will be starting a new chapter (page 176) in our textbook on Monday.

Week of January 2, 2013

Hope that you have had a good vacation. We are going to be doing a project with Mrs. Dawson this week. Wednesday, she will introduce the project, Thursday will be a work day and you will be presenting your finished work on Friday.

Week of December 17th, last one for 2012

The students all know the schedule for this last week of classes before vacation. Monday, I will be giving back their Sunshine Math assignments and doing the final review for the retest of Chapter 2 on Tuesday. Wednesday is turn in day for their POW that they have already started. Thursday, I will be returning all their tests and papers. Look for Progress Reports early in the week. Friday there are no classes due to the music concert in the morning and basketball game in the afternoon. Have a safe and restful break.

Week of December 10th

We will reviewing each of the lessons in Chapter 2 this week. With the exception of Wednesday, which is a half-day with no classes. A new Sunshine Math was passed out on Monday and will be due on Friday. A POW will be passed out on Tuesday, which will be due on the 19th. SBR test on Thursday.

Week of December 3rd

My intern, Mr. Nieman, will be doing his lead teaching this week, but I will still be in the classroom. There was a test on Chapter 2 at the end of last week and we will be returning them on Monday. Students should do test corrections on a separate piece of paper and show the corrections and original test to me. There will be a new Sunshine Math sheet on Monday that will be due on Friday. POW #6 is due on Wednesday.

Week of November 26th

We now enter the longest period of classes that we have for the year, with four weeks of classes and just one half day. There will be a new Sunshine Math passed out on Monday, that is due on Friday. A new POW on Wednesday, due the following Wednesday. SBR test on Wednesday. We will be finishing up the chapter on solving for variables and taking a chapter test on Thursday. Keep practicing those problems.

Week of November 19th

Obviously, a very short week leading up to Thanksgiving. Monday, we will be going over your SBR tests and taking care of any retakes from the quiz last week. Test is Pink Pants Day. Have a nice Thanksgiving.
