Week of May 28th

Short week of classes this week, glad that we have NWEA testing for math completed. Tuesday, we will go over last weeks POW and do the last lesson in Chapter 10. Wednesday, I'll pass out the last POW for the year and review for the Chapter 10 test on Thursday. Friday, we will go over the test.

Week of May 21st

Our last full week of school in May, as we start to wind things down or up depending on your point of view. We will be covering 10.6 on Monday and Tuesday. POW #15 is due on Wednesday. The 8th grade should be starting NWEA testing on Thursday, with math for two days. Enjoy this great weather.

Week of May 14th

There are a lot of activities going on this week and not many full days of classes. Hope to get through 10.5 and pass out the new POW on Wednesday. Field trips on Tuesday and Thursday and a half day on Friday.

Week of May 7th

It is good that you all use your planners as there is a lot to write down on the schedule. Monday is our Quiz on 10.1 to 10.3. You may use your packets and calculators. Also, a SBR. Half the team has their field trip on Tuesday. POW is due on Wednesday. Whole 8th grade is taking that science test on Thursday. Then it will be Friday already. Have a good week.

Week of April 30th

Thought that we were all set for NWEA testing this week, but then on Friday afternoon, they said that we might not be ready to go. We will see what Monday morning brings us. We will either have testing in math on Monday and Tuesday or go on with Chapter 10 and finding the area of a circle. No Sunshine Math this week and I'll be passing out a new POW on Wednesday.

Week of April 23rd

Week of April 23rd: Hope that you have enjoyed your vacation and the great weather we have been having. Getting some rain this weekend, but we need it. Time to get things going again. Seven more weeks of classes: with a half day, Memorial Day and lots of other events to work around in the schedule. This week, I would like to finish up Chapter 9, by just introducing sin, cosine and tangent and preparing for the school wide state testing week the following week. I'll pass out a new Sun Sunshine math on Monday and it will be due on Friday.
