Week of January 17th

Last week of the quarter and it is a short one. Tuesday, we will be going over the Benchmark that you did for Mrs. Chidsey. I have corrected your Sunshine Math assignment
and we will go over any the questions that you want to see on the board. My intern for the spring semester will be in class to say hello and start to get to know all of you. Wednesday, POW #8, that you have been working on for a week is due. We will start going over the lessons in Chapter 11. There will be no Sunshine Math due this week.

Week of January 9th

Normal, five day week of school this week. New Sunshine Math that I will pass out on Monday, that is due on Friday. New POW that will be passed out mid-week and due next Wednesday. We will finish up our work in Chapter 12 and take a quiz on Tuesday. Next, we will be getting into Chapter 11. Have a good week, lets hope we don't get any changes to the schedule on Thursday due to the weather.

Week of January 2nd

Happy New Year. Hope that you had a good vacation. I have caught a cold right at the end of vacation, but will be alright. We have seven weeks of classes till the next vacation: three short weeks and four five day weeks, if we don't have a snow day(s). We are going to start Chapter 12, which is Probability. There are no Sunshine Math or POW to start this week. The quarter ends on the 20th and then we will be half-way through the school year. We reviewed 12.1 and 12.2 on Tuesday, which most of the students remembered from last year. We will be now focusing on 12.4 to 12.8.

Week of December 19h

Last couple of days of school in 2011. You have gone over your grades in your classes with your parents and things are going well or you have made up a plan for improvement. Monday, the POW that you have been working on for a week is due. Tuesday is your test on Chapter 6. Wednesday we will go over the POW and test. Thursday we will be getting ready for vacation. Get all your work in for all your classes before vacation arrives.

Week of December 12th

Our last regular school week of 2011. Mid-term progress reports
have been sent home and you have been checking grades on IC, so
there are no surprises. If you aren't happy with your math math,
turn in what is missing or take the quiz or test again. There are
also plenty of ways to get extra help, if you are trying to do your
work. This week, we will be moving on through Chapter 6, starting with
6.4 on Monday. I'll be passing our a new Sunshine Math on Monday, that
will be due on Friday. There will be a new POW passed out mid-week that
will be due before vacation. I plan on giving a test on Chapter 6, probably
on the 20th.

Week of December 5th

Short week this week with no classes on Friday and a half day of community service activities. On Monday we are going to be working on the review questions in the back of the book for 6.1 to 6.3. Tuesday, quiz on those sections. POW #6 is due on Wednesday and is was assigned last Wednesday. Thursday, we will be going over the POW and being sure that everyone is proud of their quiz score.

Week of November 28th

Hope that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving vacation. We have two five day weeks and two shorter weeks till the next vacation. We will continue getting into Chapter 6 on Monday. This chapter is going to strengthen the skills that you have developed this fall. We will be taking a quiz on 6.1 to 6.3 and SBR on Thursday. New Sunshine Math on Monday that will be due on Friday. I'll be passing out our next POW mid-week.
