Week of October 24th

Only three days of regular classes this week. I have a bunch of graded work to give back and go over on Monday. Tuesday, we will be taking the test on Chapter 2. We can go over the test on Wednesday and then because of the half day and conferences we will be done for the week. Pink Pants Day on Thursday. See you at conferences.

Week of October 17th

We have a five day week this week and can focus on finishing up Chapter 2. I'll be passing out a new Sunshine Math on Monday and it will be due on Friday. POW #3 is due on Wednesday. We have three lessons left in this chapter and then we will have a small quiz on 2.6 to 2.8 on Friday and the chapter test early next week. Keep asking questions and practicing those basic skills.

Week of October 10th

We are all glad that testing is over and not too many make-ups will need to be done this week. Since it was Pink Pants Day on Friday, there must be no school on Monday, so a short week for us. On Tuesday, Ms. Dawson will be in our classroom to help launch our iMovie Projects on any area or topic of math. Wednesday will be a work period. Thursday, we will take a quiz (requiz) on 2.1 to 2.5 that we have been practicing for all week and then more work time. Friday will be your iMovie presentations. POW #3 will be passed out mid week and be do the middle of the following week.

Week of October 3rd

Testing and a short week this week. When their is state wide testing there is no homework, so no POW's or Sunshine Math due either this week. Some of the students had a tough time on the material in 2.1 to 2.5, so we will continue to sharpen our skills at doing the four basic skills with positive and negative numbers. Half-day on Friday.

Week of September 26th

One of our last normal weeks for a while. New Sunshine Math on Monday, that will be due on Friday. We will keep working on Chapter 2 and have a quiz on lessons 2.1 to 2.5 on Thursday. Your POW is due on Wednesday, that you have already been working on for a few days. Have a good week.

Week of September 19th

Starting to get into a routine now. We finished up Chapter 1 on Friday and will be reviewing on Monday. Chapter 1 test on Tuesday. I'll be passing out a new Sunshine Math sheet on Monday, that will be due on Friday. New POW on Wednesday, that will be due the middle of next week. Keep asking questions in class, class participation is good.

Week of September 12th

First full five day week of school, so we can get lots accomplished. Monday, I will be passing out your first Sunshine Math assignment. It will be due on Friday, don't forget to show your work. Tuesday, we have a quiz on the first lessons in the book, up through 1.4 and SBR #1. Wednesday, your POW is due that you have been working on. Thursday and Friday, I will give back what has been corrected and we will continue moving through Chapter 1. Have a good week and keep those questions coming. Bring your planner home each night.
