Week of November 15th

Well, this is supposed to be a five day week, we will see what happens. Sure was a messed up week last week. In SS, I am going to pass out some guidelines for your current events on Monday and we will keep sailing our ships.
We have a math quiz on the basics from 10.5 to 10.8 on Monday. If you have been paying attention in class and trying to do your homework, you will do fine. POW #5 is due on Wednesday, test on Chapter 10 on Thursday and Sunshine Math due on Friday. We will be working on tessellation posters this week and presenting them next Monday.

Lookout, we actually have five days of school this week. In social studies, we saw most of a fascinating video on Friday and we will finish it up on Monday and continue to work our way through Chapter 2. You will have your first Current Event due on Thursday. Read an article or watch a story on the news and write about it. Who, what, where, why and how. Longer then a few lines, shorter then a page.
In math class, we took the Chapter 2 test on Friday and will be going over that and your Sunshine Math on Monday. You will be getting your new Sunshine Math, which will be due on Friday. Your POW #3 that you have been working on, is due on Wednesday. We will be jumping to Chapter 10 and starting to work our way through that chapter this week.

Week of Cotober 4th

Just when we were getting into a routine, we have a change in the schedule with state testing this week and a half day on Friday. There is testing in the morning and in the afternoon with 20 minute classes in between. I will be passing back work that the students did last week and going over their work. There is no homework this week, no POW, no Sunshine Math, nothing. They should be sure to have a good reading book with them this week. Enjoy the long weekend and then another short week next week.
