Week of January 4th

Happy New Year and I hope that you had a good vacation. We will be starting in on a new chapter this week, Chapter 4. I will pass out the last POW of the quarter on Wednesday and it will be due the following Wednesday. Don't forget that your stock market projects that you have been working on since November 4th are due on the 20th.

Week of December 14th

Last full week of classes before vacation arrives. The plan is to finish up our work in Chapter 3 and take a test on Thursday, except for Period 3, which will be taking it on Friday morning. You already have POW #7 and it is due on Friday. Have a good week.

Week of Decmber 7th

Another short week, broken up by a half day on Wednesday. Students should be feeling pretty good about mean, median and mode as we have spent several days working on that first lesson in Chapter 3. POW #6 is due on Tuesday. We will be spending the week going over various types of graphs.

November 30th

Hope that you enjoyed your week off from school and had a relaxing Thanksgiving with family and friends. On Monday, we will get back into the swing of school and start looking up challenging vocabulary words as we take a look at Chapter 3. Tuesday and Wednesday, Ms. Dawson from the Technology Department will be in our classroom teaching us to use keynotes and making a short iMovie on mean, median and mode. I will be passing out POW #6 mid-week and it will be due next Tuesday. At the end of the week, we will begin doing homework from the first sections of Chapter 3.

Week of November 16th

Last week of school before Thanksgiving Vacation. We have our Chapter 10 Test on Tuesday. Your Tesselation posters are coming along and we will have a big work day after you turn in your POW #5 on Wednesday. Thursday, most of you should plan on presenting your poster projects. Friday is Pink Pants Day and the play in the afternoon.

Week of November 9th

Great to have a day off this week, hope that you are getting out to enjoy the fall weather that we have been having. We are finishing up Chapter 10 this week. I will be passing out POW #5 on Tuesday and it will be due next Wednesday. Thursday, we will take a quiz on 10.5 to 10.8 and another SBR test, as usual. I also hope to show a short video about the stock market later in the week.

Week of November 2nd

We have a full week of school this week and a new quarter begins. Get things off to a good start. We will be continuing to work our way through Chapter 10. I'll pass out information on our stock market project on Tuesday.
