Week of February 12th

We have made it to the week before vacation. We will be finishing up Chapter 5 and taking the test on Thursday. Wednesday is a half-day and your POW will be due. Plan ahead and turn in all your assignments before vacation.

Week of February 5th

Hoping that the weather will cooperate and we can have a five day week of school. We are starting the second half of Chapter 4 and hope to get through a couple of lessons this week. The plan is to take the Chapter 4 Test before vacation. A new POW will be passed out on Wednesday. There maybe be a SBR Test towards the end of the week, as we haven't had one yet this quarter. Stay healthy, so you don't miss any school.

Week of January 29th

Hopefully, we will get in a five day week this week, though the Talent Show on Wednesday will impact our schedule somewhat. We are making our way through Chapter 4 and on Monday will be covering 4.4. POW #9 is due on Wednesday. My plan is to take the quiz covering Lessons 1 to 4 at the end of the week.

Week of January 22nd

Time to start the second half of the year. We have already picked up over 30 minutes of daylight in the afternoons. Four weeks till vacation and two of them are short weeks. This week, we have a half-day on Wednesday with short classes and the Talent Show. Monday, we will be going over the re-test and SBR Tests. Then we will be starting in on Chapter 4. Look for a new POW on Wednesday, we want to do two POW's before vacation and then two after as the quarter is over at the end of March.

Week of January 15th

Last week of the second quarter, check IC and JumpRope to be sure you have completed all your assignments. Some students will be going over their Chapter 3 Tests with me, while working on a review sheet or starting Chapter 4. All math classes in the 8th grade are taking the STAR 360 test on Wednesday. Our last SBR Test will be on Thursday and the quarter wraps up on Friday.

Week of January 9th

A five day week before the long weekend and we will be covering the last two lessons in Chapter 3 and taking the chapter test before Friday. POW #8 is due on Wednesday and all the students got the first two paragraphs of their write up started on Friday, the 5th. We will be going over the SBR Test on Monday and we will have one more before the end of the quarter on the 19th.

Week of January 2nd

Welcome back. Hope that you and your family had a good break. We are still working our way through Chapter 3 and mastering Slope. Starting with Lesson 6, we will keep covering the material. New POW will be passed out on Wednesday. SBR Test on Friday.
