Week of September 11th

We finally have a five day week of school. We will be finishing up our review of basic arithmetic skills, as our textbooks have now arrived. The first POW (Problem of the Week) is due on Wednesday, Tuesday for the Algebra class. Wednesday, we will be taking the math part of the STAR 360 test on our laptops. At the end of the week we will be getting into Chapter 1.

Week of September 5th

Good to have the opening days over and now we can get going on our math studies. It will be a short week with having Monday off and Picture Day on Friday, but we are going to focus on our arithmetic skills and be sure that they are solid. Our first POW (Problem of the Week) will be passed out on Wednesday and due the following Wednesday. See you at Open House on Tuesday evening.

Week of August 28th

Week of June 5th

Our last week of classes. The first 8th Step-Up Day is on Monday afternoon, so we will be having four short classes in the morning after AA. Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be finishing up Chapter 8. Our last SBR test will be on Thursday and the Chapter 8 test is scheduled for Friday. Keep organized, as these final days go by fast.

Week of May 29th

With Monday being Memorial Day and no school, it is going to be a fast week of school. Tuesday, we will go over all the work and assessments that were completed at the end of the week. Wednesday, the last POW of the year will be collected and we will be continuing of studies of Chapter 8.

Week of May 22nd

Last week of school in May. Monday, we will be going over our Chapter 7 Test and POW #15. Sunshine Math sheet will be passed out towards the end of class and is due on Friday. We will then be starting into Chapter 8. The last POW of the year will be passed out on Wednesday and due the following Wednesday. Friday is Pink Pants Day as it is a long weekend due to Memorial Day.

Week of May 15th

We are getting to the end of Chapter 7, so I want to take the test before the 8th grade trip to Funtown on Friday. Monday, we will be covering the last lesson in the chapter on finding area and perimeter of similar figures. We will be reviewing the chapter on Tuesday and finishing our POW. Wednesday is a half-day with short classes and I will be collecting the POW's. Chapter Test on Thursday. Hopefully, the weather will be wonderful for our field trip on Friday.
