Week of September 12th

Finally got my blog working again, sorry about the delay. Finally have a five day week and the students are starting to get into a routine. Monday, we are finishing up Lesson 4 and their first Sunshine Math assignment will be passed out. Tuesday will be devoted to NWEA testing and I hope that it won't run into Wednesday. POW #1 is due on Wednesday and we will be reviewing for the quiz covering 1.1 to 1.4 on Thursday. Thursday, there will also be the first SBR test, which is 10 questions covering basic math skills. Students don't have to study for this and it doesn't count towards their quarter grade, but is a great indication of how well basic math skills have been mastered. Sunshine Math #1 is due on Friday.

Week of May 30th

We have made it to the end of May and everyone is looking forward to the busy days of June. Tuesday we will complete the last lesson in Chapter 8. The last POW of the year is due on Wednesday and review. Chapter 8 test on Thursday. Friday is a special event at school and all laptops with their chargers will be collected. It will be a fast week.

Week of May 23rd

Our last real five day week of school for the year. Monday, we will be going over the SBR test and POW. Then getting back into our studies of Chapter 8, with Lesson 8.4 and 8.5. POW #16 will be passed out on Wednesday and due the following Wednesday.

Week of May 16th

Monday, we will be reviewing the first lessons of Chapter 8. Quiz on 8.1 to 8.3 on Tuesday. Wednesday, POW #15 is due and we will be moving on to 8.4. SBR test on Thursday and then Funtown trip on Friday. It will be a fast week.

Week of May 9th

With NWEA testing finally completed in math classes, we can get back to our studies of Chapter 8, our last chapter of the school year. Monday, a new Sunshine Math sheet will be passed out on Monday and due on Friday. A new POW will be passed out on Wednesday. We hope to get through several lessons in the chapter this week, as it is one of our last full weeks of classes.

Week of May 2nd

We are to start NWEA Testing on Monday in math classes, that will be running for two days and then switch to ELA after the half-day on Wednesday. We will be going over the Sunshine Math assignment that was turned in on Friday and starting in Chapter 8, out last chapter of the year. POW due on Wednesday, no new Sunshine Math this week. May take a SBR test towards the end of the week.

Week of April 25th

I hope that you had a good vacation. New Sunshine Math sheet on Monday, due on Friday. The next POW will be passed out mid-week. We will be finishing up Chapter 7, covering the last two lessons. NWEA testing next week.
