Week of September 14th

We have a normal, five day week this week, so let's make good use of our classtime. Monday, I'll be passing out our first Sunshine Math sheet, that will be due on Friday. Your POW that you have been working on is due on Wednesday at the start of class. Thursday, we will have a quiz on the first four lessons in Chapter 1 and a SBR test. We will keep working our way through Chapter 1, keep asking questions.

Week of September 7th

I guess that I could have written something for last week, but we are really getting things going this week, though it is a short week. Tuesdsay, we will be getting things rolling and continue our working in Chapter 1. The first POW of the year will be passed out mid-week and due a week later. Math is not a spectator sport, please participate.

Week of June 8th

Last week of classes for the year. Monday, we will be working on Lesson 6, the last lesson in Chapter 8. Step Up Day is Tuesday and it is important that everyone comes to school. We will be having shortened classes. Wednesday, the final POW of the year is due and we will be reviewing the chapter. Chapter 8 test on Thursday along with a SBR test. If you don't get to the SBR test, you can complete it on Friday. Have a good last full week of 8th grade.

Week of June 1st

Last three weeks of school. New Sunshine Math sheet on Monday, last one of the year, due on Friday. New POW queston on Wednesday, last one of the year. Review 8.1 - 8.3 on Monday for our quiz on Tuesday. Continue moving through the chapter, going over sections 4 and 5 for the rest of the week.

Week of May 25th

I hope that you had a good Memorial Day Weekend and are ready to get back to school on Tuesday. We will continue our work in Chapter 8, with section 2. Your POW #15 is due on Wednesday. We hope to get to sections 3 and 4 before the weekend. SBR test on Friday. No Sunshine Math sheet this week.

Week of May 18th

More testing this week. NWEA testing in math class on Monday and Tuesday. Then we will be working on a poster project covering any topic in Chapter 8 on Wednesday and Thursday and making presentations on Friday. New POW will be passed out mid week.

Week of May 11th

This will be a fast week of school, as there is a half-day on Wednesday and the 8th grade is going to Funtown on Friday. Monday, we will start in on Chapter 8, but no Sunshine Math sheet this week. Tuesday, we will continue with 8.1, take a 30 second multplication test and a new POW will be passed out. Our next SBR test will be on Thursday. The schedule will continue to be different due to the Sixth grade testing.
