Week of October 5th

Our last five day week for a few weeks. Monday we will do working on a worksheet covering Lessons 8 and 9. Tuesday will be a review day and the POW should be finished for homework. Wednesday, the POW is due and there will be a test on Chapter 1. Thursday, we will be going over the test. An in class, Sunshine Math, will be the assignment on Friday, ahead of the long weekend.

Week of September 29th

Hope that you enjoyed this beautiful weekend. On Monday, there will be a new Sunshine Math sheet passed out and we will continue working on Lesson 7. Tuesday will be spent practicing problems from Lesson 7 in prepration for the quiz on Wednesday or Thursday. The next POW will be passed out on Wednesday. We will be taking another 30 second multipication test, at some point and your Sunshine Math is due on Friday, as always.

Week of September 22nd

We have a half-day on Wednesday of this week, with the Lip dub. A new Sunshine Math sheet will be passed out on Monday and is due on Friday. Monday and Tuesday, we will be working on our poster projects on anything from scientific notation. Look at Lessons 6 and 7 for ideas. We will present the posters to your classmates on Thursday. Friday, there will be your second SBR test and any additional presentations. Looks like a good week of weather, get out and enjoy it while it lasts.

Week of Sept. 15th

This week will go by fast due to testing. Monday and Tuesday in math class and the rest of the week in ELA. A new POW will be passed out on Wednesday and we will get into Lesson 5 on negative exponents. No Sunshine Math sheet this week.

Week of September 8th

I think that we are off to a good start and I hope that everyone is ready for a full, five day week of school. We have completed the first three lessons in Chapter 1 and will continue to move at a steady pace through this chapter. Our first Sunshine Math sheet will be passed out on Monday and is due on Friday. The first POW (Problem of the Week) was passed out last week and is due on Wednesday, no big write up for the first one, but please show your work. Hope to take a quiz towards the end of the week on the first half of the chapter, depending on how we are doing.

Week of September 2nd

Good to have a day of school last week to get things going, but Tuesday will feel like a first day in many ways again. Tuesday, I plan on getting a seating chart set up, so that I can start learning names and possibly pass out the new textbooks. Then on Wednesday, we can start diving into Chapter 1. I will be passing out our first POW mid-week. If you have questions, please ask them.

Week of June 9th

Well, we made it. Last week of classes. On Monday, we will go over our last lesson, #6. Step-Up Day is Tuesday and we will start our day at the high school. We will be at GHS for about 2 hours and then be bussed to the middle school and have shorten classes. Wednesday, will be a review day for our test on Thursday. You will be making up a study guide with all the formulas from this chapter. There will also be the last SBR test on Thursday. Friday, we will wrap everything up for the year. Don't miss any school and write your name in your yearbook, if you bought one.
