Week of October 15th

Three weeks left in this first quarter. Five day week this week, so I'll be passing out a Sunshine Math on Monday that will be due on Friday. The POW #3 that you have been working on is due on Wednesday. Passing back the scientific notation quizzes on Monday. Looking to finish up the last three lessons in Unit 1. Look for a SBR test later in the week.

Week of October 8th

With no school on Monday, this will be a short week. We will be continuing our work with scientific notation. New POW to be passed out mid-week. No Sunshine Math this week. Progress reports should be coming home on Tuesday.

Week of October 1st

Five weeks left in this first quarter and only two of them are full, five day school weeks. We have NECAP Testing this week, so short classes and no homework. Half-day on Friday.

Week of September 24th

Only three more five day weeks left in this first quarter, the rest are short weeks. We will be continuing making our way through this first unit. New Sunshine Math sheet on Monday that will be due on Friday. POW #2 due on Wednesday. First week of October is NCAP testing with no homework for the week.

Week of September 17th

We have finished been going over the first four lessons in Unit 1 and will be taking a quiz on 1.1 to 1.4 on Wednesday. We will be going over Sunshine Math #1 on Monday and passing out a new sheet that will be due on Friday. There will be a new POW on Wednesday due on the 26th. Looking forward to a good week.

Week of September 10th

This is the first of our five, five day weeks this quarter. After taking the practice test last week, we know that there are some areas that we need to review, so we will be diving into Chapter 1 on Monday. Also on Monday, I will be passing out our Star Math #1 worksheet, that will be due on Friday. Your first POW (Problem of the Week) is due on Wednesday. Have a good week and use your planners.

Week of September 3rd

Good to have a day of school last week to get things going, but Tuesday will feel like a first day in many ways again. Tuesday, I plan on getting a seating chart set up, so that I can start learning names and possibly pass out the new textbooks. Open House is from 6:30 to 7:30, so please bring your parents by to meet me and see the classroom. Then on Wednesday, we can start diving into Chapter 1. I will be passing out our first POW mid-week.
