Week of November 14th

We actually have a five day week this week. We will be completing the last three lessons in Chapter 3, having a review day on Thursday and the chapter test on Friday. A new Sunshine Math will be passed out on Monday that well be due on Friday. Our next POW will be passed out on Tuesday and due before the Thanksgiving vacation. Stay healthy.

Week of November 7, 2011

Short week of school this week. We will be spending some more time covering the material in 3.4 on Monday. Review day on Tuesday of 3.1 to 3.4. Quiz covering 3.1 to 3.4 and our first SBR of the second quarter on Wednesday. Thursday, we will go over the quiz. There is no school on Friday due to Veteran's Day. No Sunshine Math or POW this week.

Week of October 31st

Happy Halloween and Orange Pants Day today. Hope that you had a good weekend and didn't lose your power. We are finally done with Chapter 2 and will be using the skills that we mastered as we dive into Chapter 3 this week. Your POW #4 that you have been working on is due on Wednesday. Sunshine Math is due on Friday. No tests or quizzes this week. First quarter ends on Friday.

Week of October 24th

Only three days of regular classes this week. I have a bunch of graded work to give back and go over on Monday. Tuesday, we will be taking the test on Chapter 2. We can go over the test on Wednesday and then because of the half day and conferences we will be done for the week. Pink Pants Day on Thursday. See you at conferences.

Week of October 17th

We have a five day week this week and can focus on finishing up Chapter 2. I'll be passing out a new Sunshine Math on Monday and it will be due on Friday. POW #3 is due on Wednesday. We have three lessons left in this chapter and then we will have a small quiz on 2.6 to 2.8 on Friday and the chapter test early next week. Keep asking questions and practicing those basic skills.

Week of October 10th

We are all glad that testing is over and not too many make-ups will need to be done this week. Since it was Pink Pants Day on Friday, there must be no school on Monday, so a short week for us. On Tuesday, Ms. Dawson will be in our classroom to help launch our iMovie Projects on any area or topic of math. Wednesday will be a work period. Thursday, we will take a quiz (requiz) on 2.1 to 2.5 that we have been practicing for all week and then more work time. Friday will be your iMovie presentations. POW #3 will be passed out mid week and be do the middle of the following week.

Week of October 3rd

Testing and a short week this week. When their is state wide testing there is no homework, so no POW's or Sunshine Math due either this week. Some of the students had a tough time on the material in 2.1 to 2.5, so we will continue to sharpen our skills at doing the four basic skills with positive and negative numbers. Half-day on Friday.
