Week of May 10th

We actually have five days of school this week. We will be going over the quiz on Monday and then continuing to work our way through Chapter 8 during the rest of the week. Look for the POW another mid-week. Hope that you are practicing your basic skills each night on your own or with someone, it will really pay off in the future. There is always math to be practiced. Week of May 3rd

We have another short week with a half day on Tuesday and no classes. On Monday, we will review the worksheet that you did on Friday and go over slope (8.3). Wednesday, your next POW is due. You have already been working on it for several days, so you should be all set. Don't come looking for a sheet on Wednesday morning, you should have one now and be working on it each night. Thursday, we will be reviewing 8.1. to 8.3 and be taking a quiz and SBR on Friday. We only have two five day weeks of class this month, please stay on top of your work. Use your planner, it is a good tool to help you stay organized.

Week of April 26th

I told you that April would go by fast and we are at the last week of the month already. You will be getting back your Chapter 7 tests of Monday. Please go over
them, make corrections on a separate piece of paper and check in with me if needed. If you need to take a retest, do it soon. We will be starting in on Chapter 8 and getting a new POW this week.

Week of April 12th

It was the week before vacation and all the students were focused on finishing up on a positive note. We will learn our last lesson in Chapter 7 on Monday. POW #13 is due on Wednesday. We will review on Wednesday and take the test covering Chapter 7 on Thursday. Friday is Pink Pants Day and we will tie up any lose ends before we head out on Spring Vacation.

April 5, 2010

We start a brand new quarter on Monday and it is our last one of the year. We continue to work our way through Chapter 7 and are learning to solve two step equations. Tuesday, I will be passing our POW #13. We will be taking a quiz on the material in 7.1 to 7.4 on Wednesday. We will also be starting a new Stock Market Project late in the week. Report cards should be coming home on Friday.

Week of March 29th

Time to wrap up the third quarter. Check the portal and make sure you are all set in all your classes. POW #12 due on Tuesday and your Stock Market Project is due on Wednesday. I have shown you examples of what I am expecting, so you know exactly what to do, if you have been paying attention at all. Quarter ends on Friday. Finish up on a good note.

Short week of March 22nd

Short week of school this week. Monday, we will be going over the Chapter 6 test and you should do corrections. Tuesday, we will be getting started on Chapter 7 and I will be passing out the last POW of the quarter.
